My first painting

I went to Pints and Paints with Stacy last night,
and we painted this picture called "fire flies"
We had a lot of fun. I was worried mine would really suck
cause I'm no artist. But it turned out pretty good.
We started out with a blank canvas and they took
us through it step by step.
I would love to do it again some time soon.

"N" Wreath

I struggle every year to think of what to
get my mom for Christmas. This year I went the
"homemade" route.
I saw this idea on Pinterest and loved it.
I had never thought of putting an initial on a wreath
before. So I decided to make her one.
Her front door is painted blue so I went with a
blue and green theme.
It was fun and I hope she likes it.
I think I'll be making me one of these too.

Nash's Gingerbread House 2011

This is my mom and I helping Nash
put his gingerbread house together.
He had a blast decorating and eating frosting.
He was so cute and patient waiting for the
frosting to dry. It was fun!! I love being his aunt.

This is the most beautiful gingerbread house
I've ever seen !!!

Decorating cookies with friends

Katy had a Christmas party this year,
she made some amazing homemade gingerbread
cookies that we were able to decorate.
It was a lot of fun.
Mine turned out beautiful- not
but it's always fun to let your creative juices flow!

I should open my own bakery right??

Christmas Sweater

This is Lola's Christmas sweater. Doesn't she
look warm and cozy

A "Giving" Bunco

December was my month to host Bunco. We always
bring a gift that we exchange for ourselves. But this time I
decided that since it is Christmas time that
we should bring a toy that we could donate
to Toys for Tots.
Everyone was excited to have the opportunity
to give!!

Here are the festive treat bowls for the tables

I made a huge roast with potatoes, carrots and a tossed salad
It turned out awesome. Its was so yummy if I do say so
myself. I've never made a roast that good before.
After I browned it on all sides, I smothered it in
cream of mushroom soup, cream of mushroom with
roasted garlic soup and onion soup mix
Cooked it at 325 for 8 hours

Chocolate cake for dessert

Here are all the toys everyone brought

Me donating them at the Toys for Tots box
Thanks girls, I know you have made
a child's Christmas very happy

Christmas Parade 2011

My mom, brother, nephew and I went to the
Watkinsville Christmas Parade.
It's a great parade for such a small town.
It was also a beautiful day for a parade.
There was sooo much candy thrown out,
it was like Halloween
It kept Nash busy running out to the street and
then bringing the candy back.
Here is he is waiting for the parade to start.

Saying hello to the band

The Delorean

Big horses

The two of us... I was blinded by the sun and Nash
was on the look out for flying candy.

Waving to Santa!
It was a fun day. It's so great now that he is
older and is understanding what Christmas is
and I'm able to enjoy it with him.

LAZY DAY

We were having a lazy day just layin' on the couch!!

Re-decorated Room

This is my guest room. It used to be blue and yellow.
I thought it needed a change. So I made it blue and red.
The cool thing is I re-used stuff I already had around the
house. All I had to buy was $5 in fabric to make the curtains.
Looks pretty good if I do say so myself!
(I wish I had a before pic)

Halloween 2011

It's that time of year again to dress up the dogs and
get a good laugh.
My friend Beckie helped me make Lola's costume
this year. She is a cute little flower.
She actually started to love (well like) wearing it!!

This is my little bumble bee and flower
posing for their picture.
Is there anything cuter??

I decided to dress up this year and go to the
trunk-or-treat at Stacy's ward with
my nephew.
So I put on my angel wings and halo
and became a "holy cow"

Nash dressed up as a golfer.
Ready for a hole in one.

A golfer and a cow walk into a bar. . .
Oh maybe you've already heard that one
Don't we look adorable- haha

Easy Recipes

Thanks to Pinterest I found a couple of really easy
recipes with 4 or less ingredients.
They turned out pretty good too!!

 Pumpkin muffins:
1 box yellow cake mix
1 can of pumpkin
a few chocolate chips
Mix together, put in muffin papers,
sprinkle chocolate chips on top
bake 350 degrees 20-25 mins

Hawaiian Chicken:
3 chicken breasts
1 can drained pineapple
1 jar of hawaiian marinade
(I used Kroger brand, they suggested Target brand)
cook in crockpot on low for 4-5 hours
Shread chicken and serve over steamed rice.
