Saying Goodbye to a good friend

I've never really been the kind of
person who has had a ton of friends.
I know some people who just meet
someone and can call them a friend.
Not me, I guess you could say
I'm picky or selective.
The few friends I do have are
very important to me and I
really care about each of them a lot.
This is a picture of few of my closest
friends.  We may not hangout all the
time but I love these girls and
always have a good time with them.
Sadly one of these great girls moved
away.  Dawan finished all her schooling
and will be teaching at BYU
soon.  I'm really going to miss her.
She is funny, sweet and thoughtful.
She is also a great teacher of
"how to" canning- which
is now one of my favorite hobbies.
Thanks for being such a great friend Dawan.
I hope we always stay in touch!!

As Seen on T.V

So I saw this info-mercial of
"The Magic Mesh"
and I was sold.  It's a screen that velcro's
up all around your door frame and
has magnets along the middle
that you can go in and out and
they close behind you.
Perfect solution for me wanting a screen
door for the backyard to keep the
bugs out, let the fresh air in &
the dogs can go in and out by themselves.
Well it's not all it was cracked up to be
on the commercial. (but then nothing really is)
But it does an OK job.

Going out...

Coming in !!

Baby Birdies

For weeks there was this bird in my backyard
with the loudest, high pitched squawk I've
ever heard.  It squawked morning, noon and
night especially when the dogs were outside.
I could hear it in the house even when the door
was shut.  So one day when I was sitting outside
I couldn't take it anymore and threw something
at the bush it was squawking from.
It flew away and when I went to pick up
the thing I had thrown
I thought to myself, "maybe there are baby
birds in the bush and it was the mommy
trying to protect them"
I peeked into the bush and sure enough
there were three little scared looking
babies in a nest.
I felt so bad.  I'm such a meany
The next day they all flew away
and luckily no more squawking!

Future Pilot

This picture is hard to see but I thought
it was so cute.
Nash got to go on a plane ride to Utah
with my mom and was lucky enough
to go sit in the cockpit and wear the
pilot's hat.
His smile says it all "this is so cool"
