Gluten Free

I have had stomach problems for most of my life.
I could never really pin point what I was eating
that was making me sick. I blamed it on the lettuce, the dairy
or the greasy foods. But then I read up on Celiac Disease,
which is a gluten intolerance.
Gluten is found in flour, grains, oats and barley.
Which is most of the foods I love.
Breads, cakes, cookies and pasta.
But luckily there is a pretty good selection
of gluten free foods out there.
(Thank goodness for Trader Joe's)
They aren't all the yummiest things in the world,
but not horrible either.

So far I have been gluten free for 5 days and
so far so good. No major stomach issues

"Tie" dyed eggs

In a Relief Society activity I learned how to
dye Easter eggs using silk ties. You just
wrap the egg in a piece of the silk tie and then
boil it for 20 minutes. The pattern off the tie transfers
onto the egg.
It was easy and fun.

Before and After

My cute and adorable puppy Lola
(which is way she is still alive)
decided to dig a hole in my carpet while I was gone.
I was livid when I saw it. Luckily I had some of the
same carpet in the garage so I thought I'd patch it up.
But the only problem is that the new carpet is bright and clean
and tightly twisted compared to the old, dingy, dirty carpet on the floor.
So I took the new piece outside and roughed it up on the sidewalk
and rolled it around in the dirt.
Then I got out my glue gun and did my own patch job!
I got it to match pretty well too.
You can hardly notice it.

Bunco Gift

For Aprils bunco the theme was things that grow.
I won this beautiful hibiscus plant.
It makes me so excited for spring.
So pretty!!
