Time Out For Women

I went to "Time out for Women" in Atlanta
with a few girls from the ward. It was a nice relaxing and spiritual
weekend. I really enjoyed myself, it was nice to get to hang out with
girls that I don't get to see very often. We enjoyed listening to several women
from the church that have written books or that write songs.
The theme was all about having HOPE, and since we
all need a little hope to get through life, it was a very needed message!

Getting ready for bed on Friday night after playing some games.
We fit 6 people in one room with a king size bed and two air mattresses.
But didn't get much sleep!!!

We got to meet Hilary Weeks. She is an amazing singer
with a sweet spirit. I really enjoyed listening to her
and all the other speakers.

Halloween 2010

Lexie has three costumes for halloween
What should she be?
A bumble bee...

a pretty princess...

or a ladybug??

Lola is a scary green witch

New Puppy- take two

This is my new puppy Lola !!!!
She is an 8 week old beagle
I decide that Lexie needed a playmate and I saw that the same
people I got Lexie from had puppies for sale again.
So they came from the same mom and dad.
Once I saw this little face I was hooked.
She loves to go outside to run and play

She has such a sweet face and great personality

Relief Society Get Together

This year for the general Relief Society broadcast
I decided to invite some of my friends over to watch.
This is the spread of food I made. Good thing my friend Katy let me borrow her
table cloth to bring some color to the table. All the food turned out mono-cromatic

"Candied Cereal"
This is a yummy sweet chex mix
3/4 cup of butter
1 cup karo syrup
1 cup sugar
bring to a boil & pour over
9 1/2 cups corn chex
7 cups honey grahams
7 oz slivered almonds
7 oz coconut
Mix well!
"Charleston Cheese Dip"
This is my friend Stacy's recipe- it is so good and so easy
Mix together:
8oz cream cheese
1/2 cup mayo
2 green onions chopped
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
top with crumbled ritz crackers
bake 20 mins at 400 degrees
add bacon to top after out of oven

These were supposed to be cheese straws from a
Paula Dean recipe, but I couldn't get them to be "straw" shape
so I made them into circles.
They weren't very good so I won't post the recipe!
