Snow Shovel

It snowed here the other day and on top of that it
iced over, so I was stuck in the house from Sunday night
until Wednesday afternoon. By Tuesday morning I was starting
to have a little cabin fever. Even though I had no where to go
I wanted to feel like I had the option, so I bundled
up and went out to shovel the driveway.
The problem was that I don't own a snow shovel and the
only shovel I do own is about 3 inches in width
(which would have taken forever to clear with)
So I got creative and decided to use the lid from
one of my storage containers.
It worked pretty good too!
I was able to squat, scoop and toss the snow
enough for a path that the car could fit down.

The next day my butt and arms were so sore
from all that squatting, scooping and tossing!!
But I was able to make it out and back in more importantly
the next day when I went out to join the rest of society again.

  1. I'm impressed with your ingenuity! Some kids in our neighborhood tried to use a storage tote lid for an improvised sled, but that didn't work quite as well. :) We're still snowed and iced in here ... crazy Georgia weather!

  2. I finally remembered to put your blog in my reader! Now I just have to find your address so I can invite you to my blog! I like your little "sled," very creative! We put Cheyenne in a laundry basket with a jump rope attached to it so we could drag it around... haha...
