Bowling Birthday Party

For Nash's 4th birthday he had a bowling party.
It was a lot of fun.  He was so excited.
When he got his bowling shoes he kept saying
"do you like my new shoes?"
He was a pretty good bowler too.

He loved to just carry his green ball around even
if it wasn't his turn to bowl.

Cheese ball!

I bowled a really good game and
almost beat the guys.
They didn't like that very much and started
to get really competitive.

Some guy came around and made
balloon hats for the kids

Singing Happy Birthday

Opening presents from Aunt Lillie

Yahtzee jr.  YAY
He also got tons of super hero t-shirts and
a cool batman belt from his daddy
and some fun toys

It was a great day.  He is the cutest
kid.  I can't believe he's 4 already.
Happy Birthday Nash

I'm a mean mommy

I was unloading stuff out of the trunk
and the dogs kept bugging me,
acting all excited thinking we
were going for a ride in the car
so I decided to put them in the trunk
and take their pictures.
I fooled them.
They didn't like it very much.
But aren't they cute ??

No Pasta Lasagna

I got this gigantic zucchini from the bishop's garden
and decided to use it to make
Pasta free lasagna.

It was as big as my dogs

I sliced it into long thin pieces.  You can
use a regular knife but a mandolin would
have been better to make them all the same size.
You can roast them by putting them on a
cookie sheet and oven on 450 degrees
for about 7-9 mins.
I didn't do that but wished I had.
I chose to douse them with salt
and let them sit for an hour
to draw out all the water, then
press them with paper towels.
But some of the slices were thicker then
others so they were kinda crunchy.

Layer zucchini, ricotta cheese mixture and pasta
sauce. Top with mozzarella cheese and
bake for 45 mins on 375.

It was pretty yummy and low in carbs!

What's eating my tree?

I was sitting outside one day and looked over
at my big oak tree in the backyard
and noticed that a bunch of leaves were missing
So I got up to investigate what was eating my tree
and found this...

A ton of caterpillars having a big
snack of leaves.
